Flashlight Photography Course

Come and master the art of Flashlight Photography from a professional photographer.

Apart from understanding the technical know-how when using a digital flashlight, this course also equipts participants with sufficient skills in handling various situations with flashlights as well as the creative use of it.

Participants will have ample hands-on sessions with the guidance from the instructor to practice what they have learnt.


Course Syllabus

Module 1:

Introduction – Guide Number, Flash Sync Speed / Effect of Aperture and ISO on Flashlight Usage / Internal vs External Flash / Flash Accessories / Flash Exposures


Module 2:

Flash Techniques – Bounce / Reflected / Filters / Slow Sync / Rear Curtain / Multi-strobe / High Speed

Module 3:

(1 outing) Night Practical Session with Flash

Module 4:

(1 studio session) Day Practical Session with Flash (with model)


Module 5:

Photo Critique / Course Wrap-up


Assessment

Upon completion of the course, participants are required to submit a set of six 8” x 10” or 8” x 12” mounted prints for assessment. Course certificates will only be awarded upon successful submission.

Duration           : 5 weeks (2 hours per session)
Time                 : 7.30pm to 9.30pm weekdays (except outings)
Fees                 : $200 (member) $300 (non-member)

*Course fees do not include any model, transport and miscellaneous costs that will be incurred during outings and practical sessions (where applicable). These will be made known to participants prior to the event, where possible, and shall be borne by the participants.
